Welcome to Dubfolk - the VW club with a differenceVW clubs never seem to last, so we did something about it. Dubfolk is made up of air cooled VW owners across Norfolk. We meet up, then go our separate ways until the next time. No timetables, no stress. Just dubbers & their wheels...
Dubfolk is a group of friends in and around the Downham Market area that all have one thing in common - their love for Volkswagens. As a group we meet up and fanaticise about VW's, ours, other peoples, what we do to preserve or customise them, and what we love about the vintage styles (sometimes we have a beer or two) then we all go our separate ways until the next time. No timetables, no stress.
Last year we were asked if we would like to support the Lifestyles Festival in Hunstanton by putting on a display of our cherished vehicles. With only a few weeks to gather as many vintage VW's as we could, we managed quite a good turn out, so much so that we were invited to join the committee of Lifestyles to help plan the weekend for this year.
This year the coastal extreme sports festival is taking place on the 4th, 5th and 6th July is looking to be bigger and better!
The main objective of Lifestyles is 'come and have a go' with activities for all the family to participate. For example, there will be workshops in: Kite Surfing, Skateboarding, Inline Skating, BMX and Street Dance. You will also be able to take part in other activities such as Beach Volleyball, Beach Soccer and Wall Climbing.
Dubfolk will be hosting a display of air-cooled Volkswagens as well as some of the more modern T25 and T4 surf buses upon the main Hunstanton Green. There will be a Show 'n' Shine, sponsored and judged by Lingo Design, with awards going to the 'best stock', 'best modified' and the 'best of the show'.
